Celebrating 15 Years of the Snétberger Music Talent Center
On 10 October 2026, the Snétberger Music Talent Center celebrated its 15th anniversary with a concert at the Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest.
Founded by renowned guitarist Ferenc Snétberger, the Center has spent fifteen years supporting talented young musicians, including young Roma musicians, through specialised music education, individual mentorship and opportunities to develop their artistic potential.
The anniversary concert brought together current and former students, teachers and mentors in a programme reflecting the breadth of the Center’s musical world. Performances included works by Baroque, Classical and Romantic composers, jazz standards and improvisations, highlighting the range of musical traditions represented in the Center’s educational approach.
The programme featured students and alumni alongside contributing teachers and guest performer Matthieu Michel on trumpet. The concert celebrated not only fifteen years of musical achievement, but also the relationships between generations of musicians that sustain the Center’s work.
The anniversary also offers an opportunity to reflect on the importance of long-term educational initiatives that make high-quality music training accessible to young people whose talent might otherwise lack the necessary support and opportunities.
ERCF congratulates the Snétberger Music Talent Foundation on its fifteenth anniversary and celebrates its continued contribution to music education and the development of young musicians.
